Queendom, Ink & Artizan Agency bring Fashion and Awareness to Bermuda
Atlanta based agencies set to produce the BDA Fashion Festival’s International Designer Show and Red Carpet Movie Screening
It is imperative that Queendom continues to use its opportunities to engage press, celebrities and unite the global community against this horrific crime. This is for my daughter. This is for the girls who have yet to come home.
Executive produced by Queendom Ink founder AngelaMarie Pacley and Artizan Agency president LaConia J. Dean, both productions are aimed at broadening the festival’s international reach by bringing designers and celebrity figures of influence from abroad to showcase their designs and talents. “We are honored to be a part of this incredible annual event. This is the beginning of greater things to come,” says Pacley, whose philanthropic arm, Fashion 4 Life, brings awareness to Human Sex Trafficking. The organization’s motto “Uniting culture through the power of fabric and fashion” will serve as the anchor of the evening, as designers will showcase their ware in honor of Pacley’s daughter, Sade, who was abducted and forced into a human trafficking ring in Atlanta, Ga. “It is imperative that Queendom continues to use its opportunities to engage press, celebrities and unite the global community against this horrific crime. This is for my daughter. This is for the girls who have yet to come home.”
The Red Carpet Movie Screening promises to continue the excitement by bringing a taste of Hollywood to the beautiful island. “Girlfriends’ Getaway 2 is the ideal movie to screen in a paradise like Bermuda,” says Dean, who is also the Executive Editor of UPSCALE magazine, a 26-year-old national lifestyle publication based in Atlanta. “Bermuda is the perfect getaway for a group of women. This screening is going to bring beauty. It’s going to bring style—it’s being hosted by a Hollywood cast, so it will add tremendous glam factor, credibility and overall appeal to the festival.” Girlfriends’ Getaway 2 is produced by Roger Bobb, Cas Sigers, Terri J. Vaughn, and Angie Bones, and it stars Vaughn, Garcelle Beauvais, Malinda Williams and Essence Atkins.
The Bermuda Fashion Festival’s International Designer Show sponsored by JetBlue, Bermuda Tourism Agency, City of Hamilton Corporation and LA Fashion Magazine will take place on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Hamilton’s Barr’s Park and will feature collections from Adolfo Sanchez of California, Thomas LaVone of New Jersey, Evelyn Lambert of New York, The House of Shavi of New Jersey, and Jaquie Swimwear of California.
